As spring returns to the earth and temperatures rise, the number of citizens going on spring outings and using fire for agricultural purposes has increased, and the pressure on controlling fire sources in the wild has grown. In recent days, the Emergency Management Bureau of Nanchang City has made overall plans and arrangements, and carried out the Sharp Sword Forest Safeguard Operation in depth. It has organized professional forest fire-fighting teams across the city to conduct armed patrols, hidden danger investigations, publicity and guidance, as well as practical drills, to weave a tight forest fire prevention safety net.
During the operation, members of the municipal professional forest fire brigade went deep into key areas such as the Lion Peak in Wanli and the Meiling Forest Area to conduct full coverage monitoring and water source investigation. They also popularized fire prevention knowledge to the citizens and emphasized that “do not bring fire when entering the mountains”. All counties and districts have worked in coordination and implemented precise measures: The Wanli Administration Bureau has carried out equipped patrols in Meiling Town and Luoting Town. Anyi County and the Nanchang Fire and Rescue Mobile Detachment jointly inspected key forest areas and fire prevention booths. Nanchang County has created a collective prevention atmosphere in forest-related towns and townships through drone patrols, practical drills and multi-channel publicity.
