Recently, the results of the 15th National Sampling Survey on scientific literacy of Chinese citizens were officially released. By the end of 2025, the proportion of citizens in Jiangxi Province with scientific literacy reached 15.4%, an increase of 5.78% compared with that at the end of 2020. This marks a new stage in the construction of scientific literacy among citizens in our province and lays a solid foundation of scientific literacy for all citizens in the construction of an innovative society throughout the province.
As the provincial capital, Nanchang has fully played its exemplary and leading role. By the end of 2025, the proportion of its citizens with scientific literacy reached 18.6%, significantly higher than the provincial average. It has become a benchmark for the construction of scientific literacy in the province and provided a useful reference for all regions to promote the improvement of the scientific literacy of the entire population.
